Assessor's Office

The Assessor is responsible for placing a Fair Cash Value (Market) on property as of January 1st of each year. Property taxes are based on market value of real, personal, and public service properties. All property in the State of Oklahoma is taxable unless law permits an exemption. To ensure that fair and equal assessments are achieved, Sequoyah County Assessor's Office uses modern and nationally accepted appraisal principles and methods ,as well as, being required by state statute to be fully trained and accredited.
